Jef and Cathi Howell, of New Harbor, are pleased to announce the engagement and upcoming wedding of their daughter, Caryn Elizabeth Howell, to Laurin Michael Dupre, both of Medford, Mass.
Caryn Howell is the granddaughter of Joanne Mitchell and the late Richard Mitchell, of Livermore, Maine and the late Julian and Dorothy Howell of Whitefield. She attended Livermore Falls High School in Livermore Falls, Maine and earned her bachelor’s degree at Wellesley College in Massachusetts. Howell completed her graduate studies at Harvard University’s Graduate School of Education, earning a master’s degree in education. She teaches history in Lawrence Public High School’s honors program, Abbott Lawrence Academy.
Laurin Dupre is the son of Leslie Dupre, of Houston, Texas and Michelle and Rodney Heine, of Baton Rouge, La. He is the grandson of the late William and Marguerite Dupre and the late Robert and Marie Avant, all of Baton Rouge. Laurin Dupre attended Catholic High School, also in Baton Rouge, and earned a bachelor’s degree at Southeastern Louisiana University. Dupre completed his graduate studies, earning a master’s degree in education at Endicott College in Massachusetts, and he teaches math and physical education, and serves as athletic director at St. Mary’s K-12 School in Worcester, Mass.
The couple’s wedding date is set for July 14 at Fort William Henry in New Harbor (Bristol).
