Built in 1807, Castle Tucker was the dream home of Judge Silas Lee and his wife Tempe. The couple entertained often, enjoying an elegant lifestyle in their new home. In 1858, Richard Tucker, Jr. and his young wife Mollie moved into the house. They immediately turned it into a fashionable Victorian home for their family of five children who went on to live extraordinary lives outside Wiscasset. Hear the stories of this talented and unusual family, passed down through letters saved by their granddaughter. Little was changed in the house after 1900, so visitors see the house as it was when the Tuckers lived
here, including the 1858 parlor and a kitchen with four generations of cooking technology still in place where it was used. The next dates for this tour are July 26, August 2, August 16 and September 27. FMI, visit www.historicnewengland.org/visit/events
