Ocean on Tap is an informal, ocean-centric speaker series organized by researchers from Bigelow Laboratory. Our goal is to bring people of the community together over the fascinating world of the ocean. At these events, speakers will share their corner of expertise in the ocean, and attendees are encouraged to ask questions.
The next Boothbay Harbor edition of Ocean on Tap is Thursday, April 16, 6pm, at Footbridge Brewery. Dr. Deborah Bronk, president and CEO at Bigelow Laboratory for Ocean Sciences, will be discussing how federal investment in science has fueled unparalleled advances — and what risks are posed by declining support for science amid growing global competition.
