Those who want to see (and taste) some creative cooking are invited come to the Rutherford Library’s Edible Book Festival in South Bristol on Saturday, April 1.
There is still time to participate. Just call the library by Thursday, March 30 at 644-1882, or stop by during regular hours – Wednesday and Thursday 12-6 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
It’s easy to enter – just create an edible depiction of a book. It can be sweet or savory, funny, punny, or simply representational. Those who don’t want to enter can still come to taste and judge their favorites.
Entries must be brought to the library between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. on Friday March 31, or by 8 a.m. on Saturday, April 1. Tasting and judging will take place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Come join the fun.
For more information check the library’s Facebook page at RutherfordLibraryMaine or call at 644-1882. The library is located at 2000 Route 129.
