“Egghead Evenings” take place throughout the summer at the Lincoln County Democratic Committee Campaign Office, 521 Main St., Damariscotta.
“Climate Change Impacts Assessment and Policy – Where we are Gaining and Losing” is the next “Egghead Evening” to be held on Monday, Aug. 20, 7-8:30 p.m. at the Lincoln County Democratic Committee’s Campaign Office at 521 Main St. in Damariscotta.
These open discussion groups focus on policy-related or historical topics featuring experts who live in or frequent Midcoast Maine.
Katherine Jacobs, director of the Center for Climate Adaptation Science and Solutions at the University of Arizona, will lead this discussion. From 2010-2013, Jacobs served as an assistant director in the Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP) in the Executive Office of President Obama. Jacobs is a summer resident of Southport Island and has a deep interest in the potential effects of climate change on the coastline of Maine.
