Are you feeling the call to connect with sound at a deeper level? This introductory course covers a range of perspectives on sound, frequency and healing with a focus on experiential learning. Topics include science, history, terminology, contraindications, the art of facilitation, and technique with a primary focus on voice, shruti, singing bowls and tuning forks.
You will walk away with a greater understanding of sound as a modality for healing and meditation, and new tools and practices to apply to your own life and share with others.
Complete the experience with a warming grounding evening meal in community to reflect on the day’s lessons.
Sophia’s journey with sound began in 2017 after attending her first sound bath in Bali. Since then, she has followed a path of
experiential learning across Asia, the Americas, and beyond, studying frequency and vibration through both formal training and lived practice. With multiple certifications in sound healing and sound ceremony and years of hands-on facilitation, Sophia weaves meditative instrumentals, mantra, and natural soundscapes into profound healing experiences. Her work often integrates sound with yin yoga, plant medicine rituals, astrological events, and ecstatic dance. Sophia’s diverse offerings serve to honor sound as a tool for transformation.
“I did this wonderful sound healing course with Sophia. It is very clear she did extensive research into the subject and has a lot of knowledge in both theory and practice. The course was perfectly set up and very well thought out: beautiful locations with the quietness of nature, and a calm teacher that can clearly bring information over as well is an interested listener. I would highly recommend this course.” – Roan, Netherlands
