The inaugural Wiscasset edition of Ocean on Tap is Friday January 23, 6pm, at Ækeir Brewing in Wiscasset. Join Dr. Alaina Weinheimer, of Bigelow Laboratory for Ocean Sciences, who will be speaking about a
revolutionary technology that led to the unexpected discovery of an ‘invisible’ group of viruses here in the Damariscotta River. Ocean on Tap is an informal, ocean-centric speaker series organized by researchers from Bigelow Laboratory and hosted by Footbridge Brewery in Boothbay Harbor and Aekeir Brewing in Wiscasset. Our goal is to bring people of the community together over the fascinating world of the ocean. At these events, speakers will share their corner of expertise in the ocean, and attendees are encouraged to ask questions.
