His boogie-woogie piano playing is something that must be seen and heard to be believed. The Library of Congress has called him “a national treasure.” The Department of State calls him a musical ambassador. We just keep calling him to come back and play, and again this August this story-telling master of the
keyboard will enliven our stage. Our piano is exhausted by the time Bob packs up each year, but the audience is energized.
Led by the mysterious “Lady in the Red Cloak” with her lantern, you will see buildings that once seemed ordinary but will take on eerie new dimensions as she relives their history, and that of the ghosts that are said to still reside there. Wind through the back streets and learn the early history of Damariscotta, visit the site of countless seances, experience the haunted Maine Hotel, take a trip by the river to hear about the Mystery Ship, and more.
The moderate walk, suitable for all ages, lasts approximately 90 minutes and is by reservation only; $17.50 for adults, $8 for children under 12, free for children under 5. redcloaktours.com, 207-380-3806.
