Glitter, beads, and glue, oh my!
Children of all ages are welcome to come join us for a crafting bonanza! A special thanks to the lovely folks at Cupacity for hosting us this year and our friends at Healthy Lincoln County for volunteering. We hope to see you all there!
Historic Tidbit Tasting Tours are hosted by Red Cloak Tours, and will allow you to have some “Tastes” of local foods & specialties as well as iconic Maine foods. We will mix in some “Tidbits” of history about the restaurant/store buildings as well as the foods that you’ll be Tasting.
During the 2 hour tour you’ll have an opportunity to Taste “Tidbits” of all sorts! From lobster to Maine Potato Candy to chowder and much more. (subject to change)
Although we say only a “Tidbit Tasting” you might want to skip lunch! Those looking for a taste of everything Maine and a primer on Maine history should be sure to make a reservation for Red Cloak’s weekly Historic Tidbit Tasting Tours, which are limited in size for the enjoyment of our guests.
The price is $49.95 and is by reservation only – other towns also available. redcloaktours.com or 207-380-3806.
The Parade of Lights gets bigger and better every year, and we want everyone to come join in the fun! The third annual parade kicks off at 4:30 p.m. as floats from local businesses, organizations, families, public safety agencies, and more will make their way through Damariscotta and Newcastle decked out in lights.
In the spirit of friendly competition, visitors will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite floats. In 2018, the Alna Snowmobile Club swept both the Spirit Award and the People’s Choice Award, while the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office won best town/municipal parade entry. The Damariscotta Fire Dept/Massasoit Engine Company took best fire truck, while Louis Doe Home Center’s entry was voted best business float. The Waltz family handily won best individual/family entry with its Grinch-themed float.
So gather your lights and blast that holiday music – we want to see you spark your spirit!
