Happenings
As we write this, it is truly the dog days of summer — time to escape the heat and head into the air conditioning for some great music (a benefit concert for Lincoln Academy), and great laughs with a highly acclaimed comedy from New Zealand.
‘Our Kind of Traitor’ (R; 1 hour, 47 minutes)
“Our Kind of Traitor” is adapted from the John le Carre novel of the same name. While on holiday in Marrakesh, an ordinary English couple, Perry (Ewan McGregor) and Gail (Naomie Harris), befriend a flamboyant and charismatic Russian, Dima, who unbeknownst to them is a kingpin money launderer for the Russian mafia. When Dima asks for their help to deliver classified information to the British secret services, Perry and Gail get caught in a dangerous world of international espionage and dirty politics. Final screening: 3 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 18.

When a tragedy strikes that threatens to ship Ricky to another home, both he and Hec go on the run in the bush in this charming, funny movie.
