“Café Society” (PG-13; 1 hour, 36 minutes)
Set in the 1930s, Woody Allen’s bittersweet romance follows Bronx-born Bobby Dorfman (Jesse Eisenberg) to Hollywood, where he falls in love, and back to New York, where he is swept up in the vibrant world of high society nightclub life. Centering on events in the lives of Bobby’s colorful Bronx family, the film is a glittering valentine to the movie stars, socialites, playboys, debutantes, politicians, and gangsters who epitomized the excitement and glamour of the age. Also starring Steve Carell. Final screenings at 3 p.m. and 7 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 1.
“Jason Bourne” (PG-13; 2 hours, 3 minutes)
It’s been 10 years since Jason Bourne (Matt Damon) walked away from the agency that trained him to become a deadly weapon. Hoping to draw him out of the shadows, CIA director Robert Dewey assigns hacker and counterinsurgency expert Heather Lee to find him. Lee suspects that former operative Nicky Parsons is also looking for him. As she begins tracking the duo, Bourne finds himself back in action battling a sinister network that utilizes terror and technology to maintain unchecked power. The CIA’s most dangerous former operative is thus drawn out of hiding to uncover more explosive truths about his past. Starring Matt Damon. Playing at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m., Friday-Sunday, Sept. 2-4, and Wednesday and Thursday, Sept. 7 and 8.
