The days are getting longer and the cold is getting stronger. Heating bills are gnawing away at family budgets. Members of the public are invited to please help out and come to a benefit pasta supper for the Waldoboro Food Pantry from 5-7 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 25 at the Meenahga Grange, 860 Main St., Waldoboro.
The Waldoboro Democratic Town Committee is sponsoring this nonpartisan dinner. On the menu will be pasta, meatballs, tossed green salad, Borealis bread and butter, assorted desserts, coffee, and punch. The cost for adults is $10; for youths, $5; and for a family of four, $25. Children under five will get in for free.
Attendees can bring a food donation for the pantry if they like or donate an extra dollar if they can. All proceeds will go to the cause. Many dinner expenses are being donated.
