The public is invited to a lecture called “Downsizing: What to Do When You Can’t Take It With You” on Tuesday, April 10 at 7 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Nobleboro, 8 Back Meadow Road, Nobleboro. The lecture is offered free of charge and is the fourth installment of a series called County Conversations, a community service offered by the church.
John D. Bottero, licensed auctioneer and Thomaston Place Auction Galleries vice president, will be the lecturer. He has more than 25 years of experience in the antiques trade. Attendees at the lecture will be able to ask questions of Bottero.
Bottero has a passion for giving back to the communities of Midcoast Maine and frequently volunteers his services to libraries, historical societies, etc.
The “Downsizing” event is designed to answer the many questions people have when they are in the life-change situation of moving from a larger home to a smaller one. How does one decide what to keep and what needs to be given up? What does one do with all the “stuff?”
