The Waldoboro Public Library is gearing up for the second annual Brats ’n’ Brews tasting event, together with a live auction, at the VFW Hall on Mill St. in Waldoboro on Saturday, July 7. The tasting event will be from 3-6:30 p.m. and will feature local brews from Odd Alewives Farm Brewery, Liberty Craft Brewing, Oxbow Brewing Co., and Threshers Brewing Co.
Tickets to this event are $20 in advance, or $22 at the door. Advance tickets can be purchased at the Waldoboro Public Library. Ticket holders can enjoy eight 4-ounce samples of a variety of beers along with Mor
se’s bratwursts with all the fixings. Tickets will only be sold to those over 21 years of age, but “food only” tickets may also be purchased for $10 at the door.
At 7 p.m., the live auction will begin, hosted by John Bottero, of Thomaston Place Auction Galleries. With something for everyone, the auction items include artwork, antiques, furniture, a kayak, lobsters, fine dining, and a week’s stay in a cabin in Rangeley. There will also be a silent auction taking place at the same time, with lots of gift certificates, handmade items, etc. Bidding for the silent auction will begin on Friday, June 22 at the library, and will close at 6:30 p.m. on July 7 at the VFW.
