The Clamshell Quilters group will meet at the Faith Baptist Church on Mills Road in Newcastle Monday, Oct. 8. Guests, visitors, and new members are always welcome. There will be an informal sew-and-chat session from 2 p.m. until cleanup at around 5 p.m. Be sure to bring food and drink if planning to stay throughout the afternoon and evening.
At 5:30 p.m., the meeting will begin with a 2019 planning session, month by month. Several people have already volunteered to host meetings or projects. The group will also review the members of the Steering Committee and officers.
After the business meeting, Paula Wheeler will show everyone how to put together a Strata Star table topper. It’s gorgeous, and Wheeler assures everyone it is easy to make. No machines or supplies are necessary; just bring enthusiasm!
