This year, the Family Fun Fair at the Congregational Church of Bristol will be held on Saturday, June 29 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. This is an annual event that the church has held for many years. Proceeds from the event help support the church’s missions to local charities.
Coffee and doughnuts will start the morning off, followed by shopping at the yard sale tent. There, one will find bargains galore. Books, flowers, jewelry, and plants will all be available.
Inside, many talented local artisans will have items for sale. An art show is being held in the church library. Once again, Alexandra Perry Weiss will be the featured artist, as well as several others from the area. Stop in and see the beautiful pieces on display.
A fair is not complete without great music. Jan Bacon will be performing and the Rusty Hinges will be back again as well. Sit and enjoy a hot dog, a hamburger, or an ice cream cone while listening to the lively music.
One of the most popular events at the fair is the silent auction. Check out all the available offerings available for bid. These items are donated by very generous local businesses. Back by popular demand is the South African photo safari trip for two. This is a trip of a lifetime. Final bids should be offered by noon on the day of the fair.
New this year, ice cream will be on the menu. The bake sale table will have a variety of goodies. The women of the church have been very busy preparing and baking. Pies will be featured in a variety of flavors, including apple, cherry, and blueberry. Cookies, brownies, cakes, and breads are some of the items offered.
Parking is available and a golf cart will be on site to offer a ride if needed. A free bounce house will be available for the kids and free popcorn will be on hand for the asking.
The Congregational Church of Bristol is located at 1263 Bristol Road, Bristol.
