The people involved with the DIY Network “Maine Cabin Masters” will highlight the daily demonstrations to be held at the Union Fair Aug. 18-25.
Each installment of the DIY Network’s “Maine Cabin Masters” program finds master builder Chase Morrill and a team that includes Ryan Eldridge and Jedi Baker saving historic old cabins in the Pine Tree State. People are invited to come see what they will be constructing at the Union Fair on Wednesday, Aug. 22.
Daily demonstrations in the new demonstration area will include, on Saturday, Aug. 18 from noon-6 p.m., a beer brewing, with unique on-site canning. On Sunday, Aug. 19 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., there will be a fire/EMS/crash-simulator demonstration. On Monday, Aug. 20 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. will be draft horse demonstrations and wagon rides. On Tuesday, Aug. 21 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., there will be a blacksmith demonstration. On Wednesday, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., there will be the “Maine Cabin Masters” appearance. Thursday’s demonstration will feature wood turning and wood carving from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. On Friday, Aug. 24, Maine Wild Blueberry Festival Day will run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.; watch Maine wild blueberry equipment and processing. Saturday, Aug. 25 will feature wood processing from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
