On Saturday, April 20, the Wiscasset, Waterville & Farmington Railway Museum will be celebrating Easter on the narrow gauge with Easter Eggspress trains every 35 minutes from 10:50 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. One can catch a train from Sheepscot Station, at 97 Cross Road, Alna, to Alna Center Station, where egg hunts will be taking place. Egg hunts will be held for three age groups: 0-3, 4-6, and 7 and up.
Lucky ticket holders could also win a special prize basket filled with goodies. Bags for collecting eggs will be provided by the museum.
Tickets for this event are available online by advance reservation at wwfrytickets.simpletix.com at the standard fare of $10 for adults, $5 for children ages 4-12, and free for children ages birth-3. Walk-up tickets might also be available, but advance tickets are less expensive and guarantee a spot on the train.
Volunteers who would like to assist with this event are being sought. Those interested are asked to please contact the museum with contact information and any questions at 882-4193.
