Members of the public are invited to join the Wiscasset Parks & Recreation Department and the Midcoast Conservancy for a fun morning of cross-country skiing and snowshoeing during Family Days, which runs Jan. 15, 22, and 29, and Feb. 5 and 12, from 9-11 a.m. at the Wiscasset Community Center, 242 Gardiner Road, Wiscasset.
On Jan. 15, there will be demo skis and snowshoes to try out for those who do not have their own gear. Group tours will be led on the grounds and trails behind the center. Attendees are encouraged to play in the snow, warm up by the fire, and enjoy the great outdoors. Everyone is welcome.
