The final seasonal Simply Supper free community meal will be held from 5:30-6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 17 at the Bremen Union Church, 523 Waldoboro Road, Bremen. Planning this event will be chairpersons Christine Duffy and Gordon Eisleib, both of Damariscotta. The congregation is busy offering help for the meal, which will include assorted pizzas, several salads, bread and/or chips, a beverage, and assorted homemade desserts.
Those who know of a Bremen shut-in who would appreciate a meal are asked to please leave their name and phone number on the church answering machine at 832-1283 by Sunday night, April 15. The call will be returned for verification and delivery details.
The church has handicapped access on the north side and lots of adequate off-street parking. Families, neighbors, and all are welcome to attend this event at no charge. There will be a donation jug where donations toward further missions will be accepted but never expected.
