Three weeks ago, after a stormy night, Philip Peabody, of Jefferson, was critically injured when he rolled his truck several times. He managed to climb out of his truck and up an embankment to get to the road, where he was found by a passerby. That person called the accident in and, in doing so, saved Peabody’s life. Peabody has a long road ahead of him, though, to overcome the brain trauma this accident caused.
Members of the public are invited to The Badger Cafe, at 289 Common Road in Union, for a fundraiser brunch on Sunday, March 25 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Part of the proceeds will be put toward medical costs and other financial support as Peabody recovers.
There is also has a gofundme.com fundraiser page called “Philip’s Fund.”
