The Garden Club of Wiscasset’s annual plant sale will take place on Saturday, May 12 at the Wiscasset Municipal Building, at 51 Bath Road in Wiscasset, from 8:30 a.m. to noon.
The Garden Club of Wiscasset is known for healthy and robust plants gathered from club members’ gardens and other reputable area gardens offered at reasonable prices. It will have a variety of locally grown hybrid heirloom peonies, daylilies, bleeding hearts, hostas, and a variety of shrubs.
Handmade hypertufa pots will be for sale as well. They are perfect for patios and garden settings, filled with a favorite plant (a great idea for Mother’s Day).
Once again, there will be a children’s table with books, seeds, and plants to inspire young gardeners.
The proceeds from the plant sale will go directly to the Wiscasset area in the form of maintenance projects for the Nickells-Sortwell House, the cancer center in Bath, the Pownalborough Court House, and Wiscasset’s public library and Sunken Garden.
There will be a bake sale, garden gear, and experienced gardeners to answer questions.
This indoor-outdoor plant sale will take place rain or shine.
