Local Girl Scouts are now officially selling cookies. The Midcoast service unit held a cookie rally on Sunday, Jan. 6 at Jefferson Village School to kick off Girl Scout cookie season.
The Girl Scouts participated in fun activities, including Cookie Jeopardy, to learn about selling cookies.
The cookie flavors are mostly the same as last year with the S’more cookie making its return for the third year. There will be a limited supply of the new gluten-free cookie, caramel chocolate chip.
Cookies can be ordered through a local Girl Scout during the months of January and February or at a cookie booth during the month of March. Cookies are $4 per box, except for the gluten-free cookies, which are $5 per bag.
The local Girl Scouts would like to thank all of the volunteers who made this kickoff possible. They would also like to thank Jefferson Village School for the generous use of its facilities.
