Great Salt Bay Community School’s playground is having a 5-year-anniversary work party on July 28, when the school’s PTO will gather from 3-8 p.m. to put a sealant on the wooden structures of the playground. All community members are welcome to join in on the fun for the whole afternoon or whenever they can.
Depending on the number of volunteers, there may also be some basic cleanup tasks, like raking, weeding, and trash pickup. Volunteers should wear work clothes, and bring gloves and some gardening tools, if they have them. Older children are invited to help with parental permission. This is a great opportunity to keep an important community resource maintained, safe, and clean for kids.
