Dow Furniture is all about local Maine businesses, which is why it is partnering with Cornerstone Financial, of Waldoboro, to put on this year’s Harvest Fest at Dow Furniture, under the big tent right off Route 1 in Waldoboro on Saturday, Oct. 26. Allan Beck, the president of Cornerstone Financial Services, said, “I have had the joy of serving individuals and families in the Midcoast area since 1988. It is my pleasure to partner with Dow Furniture in this event to say thank you to our community.”
The Harvest Fest will feature a free harvest lunch highlighting locally made products like Morse’s Sauerkraut, Moody’s Diner’s mini whoopie pies, School House Farm apples, and Spear Farm hay bales for seating, as well as a hay maze for kids. Hot dogs with all the fixings and an assortment of chips will also be available, all free of charge while supplies last, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
There will also be a free-to-enter cornhole tournament with two-person teams competing for $400 in Dow Furniture gift cards and a custom Cornerstone Financial cornhole set. The tournament will start at 10:30 a.m.
And finally, to cap off the Harvest Fest, there will be free-to-enter Dow Furniture mattress games. Two-person teams will race in a timed competition, including a mattress-flipping race, followed by a mattress pull-push race. Entrants will be competing for a $1,799 Scott Living Mattress as the grand prize. The mattress games will start at 2 p.m.

Dow Furniture is a family-owned mattress and furniture store in Waldoboro that has been serving its community since 1955 and is partnering with Cornerstone Financial, another established locally owned business, to put on this year’s Harvest Fest.
