The South Bristol Historical Society has announced a change in the featured topic for its Oct. 3 program. In place of the originally scheduled “Boat Builders of South Bristol,” the historical society will present “A Visual Tour of Old South Bristol,” old photographs of the town, some dating back to when South Bristol was still part of the town of Bristol. South Bristol Historical Society Historian Dave Andrews will show images from his extensive collection of photographs.
The boat builders will be sharing their expertise at a meeting during the summer of 2019.
On Thursday, Sept. 13, the historical society will hold its second Trivia Night at the Coveside Restaurant in South Bristol. Trustee Warren Storch will act as emcee for another fun evening of questions – and answers – all about South Bristol. It is highly recommended that reservations be made at Coveside in advance by calling 644-8282.
