Jefferson Scoop ice cream shop on Route 32 in Jefferson will hold a fundraiser for the Maine Children’s Cancer Program on Saturday, Aug. 25. The Portland Sea Dogs mascot, Slugger, will be in attendance from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
A dunk tank will be set up during the event. The special of the day will be a souvenir Sea Dogs helmet sundae.
“Bring the kids down to meet (Slugger) and come down and support a great organization,” Jefferson Scoop owner Joe Holland said.
