Lincoln County Publishing Co., 116 Mills Road, Newcastle, invites the community to an open house at 5 p.m., Wednesday, June 27. The event is free to attend and open to all.
Lincoln County Publishing Co., which publishes The Lincoln County News, is a family-owned, full-service print shop that has been in business for more than 100 years. Attendees of the open house will learn more about the publishing company and the newspaper.
This is the second open house Lincoln County Publishing Co. will host in 2018. The first, on Jan. 17, was a Damariscotta Region Chamber of Commerce Business After Hours event on the day of a snowstorm.
During the January open house, the publishers demonstrated how the newspaper press works by printing a special eight-page section exclusively for attendees. The section included a timeline of the newspaper’s history, information about new and ongoing projects, and biographies of the company’s employees.
Due to inclement weather and requests from the public, Lincoln County Publishing Co. decided to host another open house in the summer.
“We are excited to welcome the community back into the press shop for an open house this summer,” said Chris Roberts, publisher of The Lincoln County News. “We hope more people will be able to attend and learn how we make the news.”
Further details will be announced in future editions of The Lincoln County News.
