On Friday, Aug. 12, Oxbow Brewing Company’s tasting room in Newcastle will be hosting a free concert featuring The Rocks, a rock band made up of local youth and one guitar-playing dad. In addition to the guitars — bass and electric — band members also sing and play the saxophone, percussion, and keyboard.
The band will perform outside behind the brewery starting at 7 p.m. Barbecue food from Fahrenheit 225 will be available for purchase all day during Friday tasting-room hours, from noon to 9 p.m.
Attendees are advised to bring a chair or blanket. This is a kid-friendly event and nonalcoholic beverages will also be available. Parking is limited, so carpooling is encouraged and appreciated.
