Join guest speaker Anne Perkins, of Thomaston, for the first of a series of Brown Bag Lunch at Bremen Library on Thursday, March 8 at noon.
Perkins, a local farmer and gardener, wants to spread the word that gardens can be both beautiful and productive, that few experiences rival that of eating something one has grown oneself and that the literature of the garden extends far beyond “how-to” books.
She will discuss some of the classics of garden literature that have enchanted her, what makes these books and writers especially compelling to her, and which have influenced her and others.
