The Friends of the Merritt Brackett Lobster Boat Races group will host the third annual dodgeball tournament on Saturday, March 10, to benefit the 2018 Merritt Brackett Lobster Boat Races in August at Bristol Consolidated School.
Three divisions are available: youth (grades five through eight), high school (grades nine through 12), and adult. Adult teams are limited to 12 people and youth teams to six, so participants are encouraged to register early. If space is still available, registrations will be open the day of the tournament.
Each team must include six members, with a minimum of one female. Costs to register are $60 per youth team and $90 for the adult teams. Each division will play a double elimination bracket.
Estimated starting times are 10 a.m. for the youth division, 11 a.m. for the high school division, and noon for the adult division. Participants are asked to arrive a half-hour early.
Awards will be given to the youth and high school champions. An award ceremony for the adult division will take place at the The Harbor Room restaurant in New Harbor following the tournament.
Local businesses are offering to sponsor youth teams, so please inquire if interested.
