Students in kindergarten through fifth grade can join the fun at Morris Farm in its new after-school program.
Based on the very successful and often sold-out summer farm camp, children will explore Morris Farm, learn about the farm animals, work in the greenhouse, wander the fields and trails, and so much more.
Summer camp educator Danielle Clement returns as head of the after-school program. The program is held from 2:45-5:45 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday at a cost of $35 per day. Hours are extended on Wednesdays, when the cost is $45, to meet the Wiscasset School Department’s early release days.
To sign up, email Clement at mfceducator@gmail.com, call 882-4080, or visit the farm during store hours, which are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday. Space is limited to start.
Looking forward, adults will be invited to farm camp Saturdays later this fall. Hiking the trails, learning a new craft, practicing kitchen skills, and other options are being scheduled.
