The public is invited to a community potluck supper and mystery antique event at the Nobleboro Baptist Church on Saturday, Nov. 11. The supper will begin downstairs at 5 p.m. and the mystery antique event will begin at 6:30 p.m.
Those attending the supper are asked to bring a dish, salad, or dessert to share. Participants are invited to bring a family heirloom or other mystery antique (or a photo of the item) and discover its background and origins. This entertaining and educational event will be led by John Bottero, vice president of Thomaston Place Auction Galleries. Bottero’s knowledge of antiques is wide-ranging and, while unlikely, he is willing to be stumped by a mystery antique.
The Nobleboro Baptist Church is located at 8 Back Meadow Road, Nobleboro. For more information, go to fbcnobleboro.org or call the church at 563-5816.
