Starting Wednesday, June 8 the Waldoboro Farmers Market will offer fresh produce and other goodies at Cider Hill Farm, 777 W. Main Street (old Route 1). A variety of popular local vendors will be on hand from 3-6 p.m. on that day.
Get ready for fresh veggies, goat cheese, yogurt, caramel, eggs, meats, jams and jellies, olive oils and vinegars, local yarn, and Maine wines. This will be the third season for this farmers’ market, which will run on Wednesdays until mid-September.
The market’s new logo, new brochures, photos of past market activities, and information about each vendor will be on display at the Waldoboro town office until Waldoboro Day, Saturday, June 18.
A special event is planned for each month during the market season. On the following Wednesdays, additional guest vendors will be selling their premium products: June 15 — community potluck; July 20 – market-grill cookout; August 17 — Taste of the Market; and September 14 — Harvest Fest.
Fill out a visitor survey at the market on Wednesday to be eligible to win a Basket of Plenty. One’s survey will remain in the running unless he or she wins. The winning entry will be drawn once a month. The prize includes a basket with various market products, coordinated recipe cards, a bookmark for cookbooks, and local trail maps.
Guest-vendor application forms are still available online.
