People are invited to come warm up at Oxbow Brewing Co., at 274 Jones Woods Road in Newcastle, this winter for its annual Winterfest from noon-7 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 26. One can come out to snowshoe, ski, skate, or sled. There will be six beers on draft, fire pits going, plus wood-fired pizza with Village Idiot Pizzeria all day.
Local favorite band Driving Charlie Home will be playing a set from 4-7 p.m. There will be hot chocolate and crafts for the kids. This is a family-friendly event.
Plus, Oxbow is teaming up with its friends and neighbors at Midcoast Conservancy. Before heading over for a beer, check out the nature center’s amazing trails at Hidden Valley Nature Center, only a 15-minute drive from the brewery, in Jefferson.
