For the past 12 years, Pemaquid Watershed Association’s Sunset Cruise for a Cause with Hardy Boat Cruises has delivered spectacular sunsets. The public will again have a chance to enjoy this special fundraising cruise on Friday, Sept. 8 from 5-7 p.m., departing from and returning to Shaw’s Wharf in New Harbor.
The cruise route will showcase the magnificent Pemaquid Peninsula region that PWA strives to protect. The route may be modified at the discretion of the boat captain for maximum enjoyment. One PWA member who attended a past cruise called the event “a magical evening.”
Light appetizers will be served on board, and beer, wine, and soft drinks will be available at the boat’s cash bar. In the event of inclement weather, the cruise will be rescheduled. Tickets are $35 each and are available at the PWA office, at 584 Main St. in Damariscotta, or by phone at 563-2196 or online at pemaquidwatershed.org. Proceeds from the event will go to support PWA and its mission.
