The Wiscasset Beta Rho Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi will sell raffle tickets for a beautiful quilt for $2 each or six for $10 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 14 at Ames True Value Hardware & Supply, 447 Bath Road, Wiscasset. Proceeds from the raffle will go to benefit the American Cancer Society. Cash and checks will be accepted.
Last year, the group sent the American Cancer Society $1,000 in memory of member Eileen Jones. Martha Speed, a Beta Rho member and an experienced quilter, made the queen-size quilt being raffled.
