The Olde Bristol Days fundraising committee is thrilled to announce the third annual Rock the Harbor event hosted by The Contented Sole restaurant in New Harbor on Friday, June 16, beginning at 5 p.m. Returning for the third year will be Portland’s finest reggae band, Stream Reggae; also joining the lineup will be an exciting local band, Diamond in the Rough.
The Contented Sole restaurant, overlooking the Pemaquid River and John’s Bay, is the perfect backdrop for this event and its support has been significant to the success of this event. The restaurant’s proprietors, Beth and Warren, and their amazing crew look forward to this event each year and are happy to provide a special menu with exclusive pricing just for Rock the Harbor.
Baxter Brewing Co. will be on hand with custom “Rock the Harbor” T-shirts and more. The event will also host a nautical-themed photo-prop corner to ensure lasting memories. There will be raffles offered, along with unique new games and favorites from last year.
Tickets are on sale for $20 per person. Tickets will be $25 at the door, if not sold out. All patrons will need to produce an ID for this event to be served.
The coveted Rock the Harbor pint glasses will be available once again this year for $10. With the purchase of a glass, one will receive savings on select draft beer at The Contented Sole all summer long.
All proceeds from this event will go directly to the wonderful week of entertainment for the whole family at Olde Bristol Days in August. The organizers of Olde Bristol Days are trying hard to raise funds to once again provide all activities at no cost to the public. Last year’s event offered face painting, a caricaturist, two days of live music, pony rides, a petting zoo, rock-and-roll remote-control car racing, fireworks, and more.
Tickets for Rock the Harbor are available at ticketleap.com, The Contented Sole, and Dee’s Variety, or by contacting Sheila McLain at nrentals@ldchase.com or 677-2100, Laurie Mahan at mahanlaurie@yahoo.com or 677-3725, or Tammy Legault at info@pemaquiddesigns.com or 350-5366.
