Stephanie Poland, owner of Round Top Ice Cream, at 526 Main St. in Damariscotta, has announced that the ice cream stand will donate all proceeds from the sales on the closing day of its season to benefit the Isabelle Manahan Memorial Fund at Lincoln Academy in Newcastle. This special event will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 9 from 11:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.
“We traditionally do a benefit on the last day of our season,” said Poland. “Some years we choose a nonprofit organization to support, and sometimes it’s a local family that needs help. This year, we want to support the Isabelle Manahan Memorial Fund at Lincoln Academy.”
All proceeds from ice cream sales at the Round Top stand on Oct. 9 will go directly to the memorial fund at Lincoln Academy. Anyone who wishes to donate but is unable to be at Round Top on Oct. 9 may mail a donation to Lincoln Academy, 81 Academy Hill Road, Newcastle, ME 04553.
