Fall turkey shoot competitions will take place at the Samoset Fish & Game Club rifle range in October.
Samoset Fish & Game Club fall turkey shoot competitions will take place as follows at the Samoset Fish & Game Club rifle range, Transfer Station Road, Bristol:
Sunday, Oct. 15: Shotgun shoot at 9 a.m., ammunition provided; archery competition at noon, bring own arrows (field tips only)
Sunday, Oct. 22: Shotgun shoot at 9 a.m., ammunition provided
Sunday, Oct. 29: Rifle shoot at 9 a.m., bring ammunition
This will be the first year the club will host an archery competition. Closest shot to center in all competitions will win a turkey from C.E. Reilly & Son market in New Harbor. The events are open to the public and are for youth and adult competitors as well as male and female competitors. Club members will be on hand to assist with the events and to compete.
