Beginning on Sunday, Jan. 13, Odd Alewives Farm Brewery in Waldoboro will be adding an oyster party, Shuck Local Sunday, to its growing offering of weekly events.
The brewery will be host to a collaborative weekly event in partnership with Harvest Moon Wood-Fired Catering, of Waldoboro, and Community Shellfish, of Bremen. Shuck Local Sundays will feature newly available Medomak River oysters from Bremen shucked to order and served on the half shell. This weekly event is a collaboration between three local businesses that share a vision for sustainable economic, social, and cultural development in Midcoast Maine.
For the inaugural event on Jan. 13, Boe Marsh, of Community Shellfish, will be on hand to discuss his Cora Cressey oysters as well as his vision for maintaining working waterfront viability, economic stability, and growth potential in a small coastal Maine community. Oysters will be available from 4-7 p.m.
Odd Alewives Farm Brewery is located at 99 Old Route 1 in Waldoboro.
