Members of the public are invited to a silent auction and pasta supper from 5-7 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 25 at the Meenahga Grange, 860 Main St., Waldoboro. The snow day is Sunday, Feb. 26. Gift certificates have been collected from Moody’s Diner, Corner Variety, Townline Video Plus, and Shelley’s Flowers & Gifts. Individuals have also donated items for the silent auction.
The Waldoboro Democratic Town Committee is sponsoring this nonpartisan dinner. On the menu will be pasta, meatballs, tossed green salad from Narrows Tavern, Borealis bread and butter, assorted desserts, coffee, and punch. The cost for adults is $10, youths are $5, and a family of four is $25. Kids under five eat for free.
Attendees are encouraged to bring a food donation for the Waldoboro Food Pantry, if they would like or they can donate an extra dollar, if possible. All proceeds go to the food-pantry cause. Many dinner expenses are being donated.
