Sheepscot Valley Children’s House, at 127 Federal St. in Wiscasset, is hosting a spring festival and open house event from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 8, to welcome all current families, alumni, and new friends to the school. The annual celebration serves as an excellent opportunity to see the building, meet the teachers and staff, and learn about the school’s many programs.
This family-friendly event is open to the public and features a pizza/potluck lunch, fun activities for kids out on the playground overlooking the Sheepscot River, and an art show of this year’s student work in the pre-K and kindergarten classes.
The spring festival this year will also mark the end of the spring festival auction, which is open for bidding now at new.biddingowl.com/SVCH. All proceeds from this important fundraiser will be used to support ongoing programs at the school and much-needed facility maintenance and repairs.
Founded in 1983, Sheepscot Valley Children’s House is a nonprofit school for children between the ages of 12 months and seven years. This unique school combines both Montessori and traditional teaching methods and materials, and provides a nurturing, stimulating, and happy environment that welcomes children to learning about themselves, other people, the arts, nature, and the world.
