St. Giles’ Episcopal Church, on Route 126 in Jefferson, will host the first of its free 2019 wintertime suppers for Midcoast residents on Saturday, Jan. 5 at 5 p.m.
As winter settles in, many in the Midcoast might enjoy getting out for a hot meal and friendly company. St. Giles’ Episcopal Church’s response is to offer free suppers monthly during the season. All are invited for simple, hearty fare that is served in the parish hall. No reservations are needed. Featured in January will be a traditional Maine menu of baked macaroni and cheese, plus salad, rolls, dessert, and a beverage.
All who could use a hot meal are welcome and encouraged to bring a friend.
The church is located at 72 Gardiner Road/Route 126, one-quarter mile west of the intersection of Route 126 and Route 213.
