For those wanting to stock up on summer reading, or perhaps purchase books for friends and family, Broad Bay Congregational Church has the opportunity. On Friday and Saturday, June 7 and June 8, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., the church will hold a book and bake sale, featuring a cafe area in which to chat, browse through potential purchases, or enjoy books just bought.
Among the many book categories are fiction, the Civil War, gardening, crafts, sports, Maine topics and authors, religion and spirituality, and history, as well as children’s and young readers, including some home-schooling titles.
The bake sale will feature cookies, pies, breads, muffins and an assortment of other goodies. Coffee, tea and juices will be available in the cafe area.
