“Zootopia” will play Wednesday and Thursday and Walt Disney’s “The Jungle Book” will open Friday, this week at The Harbor Theatre.
“Zootopia” is Walt Disney Studios’ 55th classic animated feature. It takes place in a rich and lush city in which animals live and work side by side (like people). It’s a melting pot where animals from every environment live together – a place where no matter what one is, from the biggest elephant to the smallest shrew, one can be anything.
But when rookie officer Judy Hopps (Ginnifer Goodwin) arrives, she discovers that being the first bunny on a police force of big, tough animals isn’t so easy. Determined to prove herself, she jumps at the opportunity to crack a case, even if it means partnering with a fast-talking, scam-artist fox, Nick Wilde (Jason Bateman), to solve the mystery.
“Zootopia” (PG) will play at 7 p.m., Wednesday and Thursday, May 4 and 5.
Raised by a family of wolves since birth, Mowgli (Neel Sethi) must leave the only home he’s ever known when the fearsome tiger Shere Khan (Idris Elba) unleashes his mighty roar in Walt Disney Studios’ new “The Jungle Book” movie.
Guided by a no-nonsense panther (Ben Kingsley) and a free-spirited bear (Bill Murray), the young boy meets an array of jungle animals, including a slithery python and a smooth-talking ape. Along the way, Mowgli learns valuable life lessons as his epic journey of self-discovery leads to fun and adventure.
Directed by Jon Favreau (Chef), “The Jungle Book” is a live-action remake of the beloved 1967 Disney animated classic.
“The Jungle Book” (PG) will play at 7 p.m., Friday, Saturday, Wednesday, and Thursday, May 6, 7, 11, and 12; and 2 p.m., Sunday, May 8.
