From 11 a.m.-5 p.m. on Mother’s Day, Sunday, May 8 Savage Oakes Vineyard and Winery, and Sweetgrass Farm Winery and Distillery, both of Union, are teaming up to offer a memorable day of Maine wine, spirits, gifts, and treats.
Savage Oakes Vineyard and Winery, 175 Barrett Hill Road, will host Billi Barker from Enchanted Kitchen at Fire Fly Farm in St. Albans. The public is invited to sample crepes and other treats from this talented baker and chef, and try the delicious filled chocolates from Safe Harbor Confections in Waldoboro, all paired with the latest Savage Oakes wine releases. Wine tasting and pairings are free for this special event. Free plants from Seven Tree Farm & Greenhouse in Union will also be available, compliments of Savage Oakes Vineyard and Winery.
Sweetgrass Farm Winery and Distillery, at 347 Carroll Road, will be hosting Portland chocolate maker Dean’s Sweets and Waldoboro candy maker Copper Tail Farm. Sample truffles and caramels, paired with wines and spirits. Tastings are free, with wines by the glass for purchase. In honor of the day, Kristen Flynn Photography will be taking free portraits of Mom.
