Veterans from all branches of the U.S. military are invited to attend an informal get-together on Wednesday, Oct. 4 from 9:30-10-30 a.m. at Chase Point Assisted Living, 51 Schooner St., Damariscotta. The group meets the first Wednesday of each month at Chase Point.
The veterans group will gather in the downstairs meeting room to view a DVD about U.S. special forces called “The Fight Against Terror.” The DVD spotlights Delta Force, U.S. Navy SEALs, 10th Mountain’s Rangers, and special ops teams that specialize in counterterrorism. The film tells the history of the USA’s highly trained combat-ready forces.
