The Waldoborough Historical Society will host a special program called “Salute to Veterans” on Sunday, May 28 at 4 p.m. at the VFW Hall on Mill Street in Waldoboro.
The event will recognize all Midcoast veterans, the local Charles Lilley American Legion Post #149, and the Soule-Shuman Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #4525. The public is invited to attend this special event to honor the work of these organizations and the service of veterans over the years. Recognition of the service songs and flags of the various forces will be held, a brief history of each of the organizations will be given, and MIAs will be recognized. A display of artifacts will be on view before and after the program. Refreshments will follow.
