“Jason Bourne” plays through Thursday, Aug. 18, followed by the new comedy “Bad Moms,” this week at The Harbor Theatre.
Jason Bourne (Matt Damon) is back, in “Jason Bourne,” after he walked away from the agency that trained him to become a deadly weapon 10 years ago. Hoping to draw him out of the shadows, CIA director Robert Dewey assigns hacker and counterinsurgency expert Heather Lee to find him. Lee suspects that former operative Nicky Parsons is also looking for him. As Lee begins tracking the duo, Bourne finds himself back in action battling a sinister network that utilizes terror and technology to maintain unchecked power.
“Jason Bourne” is the fifth film based on the Bourne character created by novelist Robert Ludlum. It is rated PG-13 and plays at 7 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 18.
“Bad Moms” is the story of Amy (Mila Kunis), who has a great husband, overachieving children, a beautiful home, and a successful career. Unfortunately, she’s also overworked, exhausted, and ready to snap. Fed up, she joins forces with two other stressed-out mothers (Kristen Bell, Kathryn Hahn) to get away from daily life and conventional responsibilities. As the gals go wild with their newfound freedom, they set themselves up for the ultimate showdown with PTA queen bee Gwendolyn and her clique of seemingly perfect moms.
“Bad Moms” is rated R (for sex, profanity, drugs, and smoking). It plays at 7 p.m., Friday-Thursday, Aug. 19-25, and at 2 p.m., Sunday, Aug. 21.
Coming Friday, Aug. 26: Woody Allen’s “Cafe Society.”
